Former A&R, Social/Prison Activist and Entrepreneur, Michael James Young Jr., Receives Cash Offers for Executive Order Clothing

Executive Order Clothing, the innovative clothing brand that uses fashion to reinforce authentic personal identities and bring about social welfare, is pleased to share that it has received interest from two Chinese venture capital firms.

Executive Order Clothing (EOC) is popular for its handmade garments that represent the latest in streetwear trends. The designs are liked for their thought provoking nature, community activism, and the high quality of materials. Executive Order Clothing has received offers from two distinct Chinese venture capital firms.

Hans Tung, a partner at GGV Capital, has confirmed an offer that would be worth approximately USD 1.9 million, with Mr. Young retaining a 1% royalty for the life of the brand. The second offer comes from Matrix Partners China, which has offered approximately USD 2.4 million, but without Mr. Young retaining any royalty or rights.

EOC empowers the authentic character of its customers so that they can dress in their unique styles and identities, and also reinforces their commitment to social values. EOC was also born as a socially conscious and responsible organization. It believes in the pacifying influence of fashion, just like art or culture, and as serving society, so that people can come together to put an end to world problems like hunger, poverty, and homelessness.

The team behind EOC is always innovating, while having fun as well, making the brand evolve further. All activities, from brainstorming to design, manufacturing, and distribution, are perceived as an adventure that inspires everyone to share their creations with the consumers.

“We are strongly concerned about the health of the world and believe that it is possible to ensure a worthy future for us and future generations. Our brand aims to set a good example and inspire others to dedicate themselves to the health of the planet,” said a spokesperson for Executive Order Clothing.

Established in 2014, Executive Order Clothing does not ‘mass-produce’ designs to keep each product exclusive and rare. The brand is distributed in North America, Europe, Asia. All garments, even t-shirts, are cut, printed, and then handmade. All materials are ethically sourced and delivered in recyclable packaging. The latest collection from Executive Order Clothing will be released in January 2021. To date, EOC has contributed close to $124,000 to Funds designated to assist those in South Carolina affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and $200,000 for the construction of a homeless shelter.

Founder Michael James Young Jr. was earlier part of the entertainment industry and held notable positions with Columbia Records (Beyoncé); J Records (Alicia Keys) and Arista Records (the Late Whitney Houston).
