Local Personal Injury Law Firm Awards Scholarships to Deserving Students in Alabama
Long & Long, Attorneys at Law, a local, family-run personal injury law firm dedicated to serving the families of Mobile and beyond, has chosen the winners for their 2021 Family Caring for Family Scholarship.
About the Family Caring for Family Scholarship
Long & Long, Attorneys at Law, have family at the heart of everything they do. Each of their clients is treated like a mother, father, sibling, or cousin. In keeping with the spirit of their firm’s approach to clients, Long & Long, Attorneys at Law, is looking to see the community evolve and thrive, especially through seeking higher education.
The Family Caring for Family Scholarship offers three students a $500 scholarship to apply to tuition or education-related expenses. The scholarship was open to students with a GPA of 3.0 or better and have been accepted or currently attend a 2- to 4-year college in Alabama or the Florida panhandle. Participants were instructed to write an essay about a family member who had a significant impact on their lives and how that impact will help them succeed in college.

Scholarship Winners
While the Family Caring for Family Scholarship received many thoughtful applications, three students stood out with thoughtful essays about their family members that shaped their lives and their future. The winners of the Family Caring for Family Scholarship include:
• Makenzie Coley
• Peyton Blake
• Hannah Duff
Makenzie plans to attend the University of Alabama and will be the third person in her entire family to go to college. Peyton will be attending Faulkner State Community College, while Hannah has set her sights on Auburn University.
