Fashion Duo To Launch No Trash – A Customizable Clothing Brand Reducing Fast Fashion

Denver – October 19th, 2022 – no trash, the customizable clothing brand, has announced the release of its first drop on October 19th, 2022 at 8 AM PST. All clothing and patches will be available on notrash.com.

The new brand aims to offer sustainable self-expression through unique pieces with interchangeable patches. All no trash clothing has at least 1 of 3 sizes of “patch panels” sewn into the garment. Then, patches can be mixed and matched across items, allowing customers to get multiple looks from one piece of clothing. Every online purchase includes at least two interchangeable patches, and additional patches are available on the site.

Co-Founders Austin Korth and Nick Mantel met in 2018 while studying at Colorado State University. A designer by trade, Korth graduated in 2020 with a degree in Apparel Design and Production and moved to LA to work in designer denim. Mantel finished with a degree in Finance while working on another startup.

“During our last year in school, I had the idea for a reusable clothing brand,” says Mantel. “I wanted a sustainable solution to fash fashion, but I didn’t know the first thing about clothing production – and, I don’t have great style. Austin’s senior design collection focused on large-scale images sewn to the garments, which fit seamlessly with a reusable system.” Mantel and Korth then came together to form no trash.

no trash finds its unique place through its commitment to creating a versatile and reusable clothing system. The pieces share patch sizes – meaning all 7 patches for the hoodie can be applied to the t-shirt, all 4 hat patches can be applied to the crewneck, and vice versa. This allows wearers to re-wear the same piece of clothing with limitless different looks, or customize multiple pieces with one patch.

“no trash is all about sustainable self-expression,” says Korth. “Our clothing line is designed to provide customers more value for their clothing, which reduces the necessity for fast fashion. We believe reusability is the foundation of a truly sustainable product. Through offering customers limitless designs from one piece of clothing, no trash is able to break the cycle of wasteful garment consumption and production.”

no trash’s first drop will offer a limited collection that includes 4 pieces of customizable clothing and 15 different patches. Clothing includes the vista hoodie, emblem hat, canvas crewneck, and vista t-shirt. Patches include 7 different designs for the hoodie and t-shirt, 4 for the hat, and 8 for the crewneck. All clothing is manufactured in the US with sustainably-sourced cotton.
